As seen in grandprix.com and ar1. Did well in 'yota test, but can he make a career at it? Nice guy and all (wasn't he on Regis and Kelly a while back?) but . . .l

Dunno. But it has been said that Lauda is on his way out at Jaguar, so who knows?

Over on Autosport, some guy from Jaguar is claiming they haven't been talking to Helio and there's no impending deal.

I guess Penske is the one who told Helio that he has a shot at the leaping cat.

As Spicoli said on another thread... it's cool when people just make sh1t up.

And as I said in another thread, why is Pimpski trying to get HCN a ride with Jag? And, according to R. Miller, he did it without letting HCN know. I think Pimpski is trying to unload HCN!!

Hmm, could be. I think it's more of free publicity for IRL. Penske's annoyed by all the publicity CART has gotten with DaMatta. That clearly defines CART as a premier series after f-1. Thus by drumming up the actor as a frontrunner for the Jaguar, he's showing that IRL has the equal capabilites of producing a great driver (HA!).

So it has to be the free publicity Penske and IRL were just seeking....

I gotta agree with SimplyKool26 (nice avatar, you mtb at all or all roadie action?) Must be quite a blow to Penske that his drivers are competing in a series that is indiffernet to driving ability. Pitiful attempt by IRLosers for props. "Hey, we're talented too!!!" "Flat out for the duration and constantly turning left is plenty training for F1 . . . really. . . I mean it . . . c'mon guys . . ."

Of course, now RPM is reporting that a Jag spokesperson has said that:

"(Castroneves) is not even on the list, never was."

That's a pretty definitive statement, methinks. Maybe Pimpski was smoking the weed, not Enge!!
