2007 Inner Circle Volunteers Program
Volunteers Needed for Inner Circle Event in Portland
Champ Car Photo, CCIC and Paddock Tour Registration Booths
If you would like to volunteer at the Champ Car Inner Circle sites in Portland (Photo, CCIC and Paddock Tour Registration Booths), continue reading:
For each person that volunteers for 2 half day shifts or a total of 8 hours they will receive a 3 day seat ticket for the event. For those who volunteer for 3 or more half day shifts they will receive over crew passes for the weekend. These are a $150.00 value. The duty for each individual is to be an advocate for Champ Car and help with the duties within the booths.
Each volunteer will use their experience as a Champ Car fan to promote the series and help spread the word about the free photos they can have taken. Specific duties are as follows:
Volunteer person 1:
1. Invite people in to have their picture taken
2. Organize them into a line within the crowd control barriers
3. If the situation allows, encourage the fans to join the Fan Club for the free membership!
Volunteer person 2:
1. Attach the photo retrieval card to the lanyard
2. As the guest is leaving, have them put the lanyard around their neck. Explain to them that if a Bridgestone staffer sees them wearing the lanyard they may get a free hat
3. Show and explain the photo retrieval instructions on the card (visit champcarphoto.com, enter their personal picture code and they can get their picture within 48 hours of the event)
4. Thank the guest!
The Fan Club registration booth: The main purpose of the volunteers for this booth will be to help fans register for the Fan Club. Champ Car models will be encouraging fans to register and receive a free lanyard and mini schedule. There are 3 touch screen computers that can be used for fan club registration. The screens are very self explanatory. Each volunteer’s duty is to:
1. Answer any questions fans may have regarding the registration process
2. Attach a coupon to the lanyard and give the lanyard/coupon to any fan who completes the registration process
3. Give directions to the Champ Car merchandise trailer and encourage them to have their picture taken
4. Thank the fan!
The main purpose of the Paddock Tour booth volunteers to help fans register for paddock tours, which will be given by current and former Face of Champ Car winners. Fans who take tours will be given a Champ Car spotters guide. There will be two touch screen computers that will be used to gather contact information.
Volunteer’s duty is to:
1. Answer any questions fans may have regarding the registration process
2. Hand register the fan for their specific requested tour time
3. Give the fan a colored plastic card corresponding to their tour time
4. Collect the cards at tour time and give the fan their spotters guide
5. Assist the tour guides with crowd control
Email Dave Wood, Champ Car Inner Circle Ambassador, at ccic@lindavwood.com if you would like to volunteer or have questions. Thank you for your support! If you would like to volunteer for another race this season with the same responsibilities and tickets as above, email me.
