CWGT: Nadira 24h-Rennen Nurburgring LIVE THREAD

The race isn't until 7 hours from now, but the ACTION'S ALREADY BEGINNING! The pre-race taunts and banter and BS are giving way to real preparations in the paddock and the sweat of a couple hundred of crewmembers hoping that their teams will be up front through the long, long, treacherous race.

Ceremonies are beginning in the stands, starting with the Ogle the St. Pauli Girl contest, and then the Count Imelda Wheldon's Shoes game for the six figure crowd. This will be followed by ceremonial pace laps by Nadira executives, mascots, and a chance to win an overpriced d./Nadira race car model.

There is still no confirmation as to whether Evil Wilke will be driving in his own Swap Shop Ferrari entry during the race, but Evil Wilke Productions WILL be covering the event FLAG TO FLAG via NRTV, IP 154.5.183.66 to connect.

First race and second to last race of the season, Mr. V took victories where everyone else fell by the wayside, with 2 other wins betewen the two. He almost choked the lead at the end but came through when it was needed, and officially clinched the title mid-flip.

Thank you for the honour; but at the risk of losing my hard won championship I'd really like to see a proper finish to this season as opposed to the irl-esque "performance" we've seen here.

Call it a "less than 50%" rule and run it again? Maybe a 4 or 6 hour instead and hope for better results?

Keep in mind, Mr. V you are not really "risking your title" because...you would at most have a Trophy Dash happen.

We skipped so many good circuits that we still have a chance to do a SPECIAL RACE.

ROFL, there IS a 512 lap limit so it's not possible to run a 24 hour event there. In fact...

The buggy full Spa and Nurburgring are two out of three only possibilities for a 24 hour. The third possibility are all the LeMans variants, one of which is the crashiest - which I used, but which DID work for a 24h this CWGT season.

For a 4 though...hmm...eww...roval....

Well, Laguna so far is BUGGY...we did Mosport (MMB won and Hosehead bridesmaided despite a fine drive at the end)...

But let's do it. Let's see if they can survive 4 hours of Monterey. ;)
