The 6 Hours of Avus is upon us, the second stop on the busy Crapwagon.com GT Series schedule, and Mr. Vengenace is fixing to continue on a winning streak after his bizarre win at the beautiful hills of Spa, in a scheduled 24 hour event that only lasted 46 minutes before the officials called it off due to the numerous amounts of crashes that clobbered the entirety of the field and caused several virtual millions of dollars worth of virtual damage.
The tough 1.64 mile Avus street course appears deceptively simple at first, but proves to be quite the challenge as many cars have been torn up on the Bremskurve chicane.

Pace lap now in progress.
At 5:10:20 the race has begun.
VERY close call on the first lap when Denith brushed the outside wall into Bremskurve, forcing Mr. Vengeance very precariously close to the tire barrier and Armco. Both cars made it safely.

0:07 - Mr. Vengeance and Hosehead are way behind, 12 seconds away from being lapped. Hosehead though is on a different pit strategy from the others, having pitted on lap 6.
MMB and myself were involved in the incident with Simracin40 on the second lap, and have no hoods now.

0:25 - MMB and myself continue to lurk in front of leader Caspar and 2nd place FlyingbuckeyeC1. Simracin40 and Denith are the only lapped vehicles as the former wrecked and the latter went into the pits early.
None of the lead lap cars (except for Hosehead, Mr. Vengeance and the two cars about to be lapped) have pitted and we've already hit 32 laps.

0:35 - OH! Mr. Vengeance has crashed into the tire barriers. Simracin40 was involved and is now behind the wall, while Mr. V's crew is repairing and hoping to salvage an already dismal day for the team.
0:39 - Mr. Vengeance's crew has told him to park it.
0:41 - Greg is the first lead lap car to pit on lap 49.
0:45 - After the pit cycle, top 3 is now Caspar-Greg-ctkatz. Denith just DNFed after clobbering the tires.
0:49 - Mazza19 just DNFed in that tire wall.

Hmmm... at least I made it longer than 31 minutes this time.
At this rate, I'll actually be finishing races close to the end of the season!
