We'll get to see all the races from this year in the fall. And next year all the F3000 races will be on live after qualifying or will be on a same-day taped delayed schedule.

I think we can take it to the bank that F1 will stay on SPEED for a long time to come. After all, we'll need to have the two Bernie series on the same network...

Is it safe to assume deBruhl, Hobbs, and Matchett will do the broadcasts for F3000?

hobbs and matchett hopefully, dedrool needs to be canned.

deBruhl's alright... he's gotten substantially better since Australia (a lot of silence from David and Steve after some cheesy Rick jokes)... he tries to bring a little excitement to the job, something that's always welcome in racing. Now if he really starts to stink the place up next year, then we should consider getting another Brit in the play-by-play spot...

I love Matchett.... knowledge and wit.... he just can't be beat
And Hobbs is great too.... he's always excited and he's knowledgeable..

I'm glad Sam Posey doesn't work the broadcasts anymore... although he was alright he was about as interesting as a dead leaf. I think he has Parkinson's too, and that may have played a role in the decision. At the USGP last year he seemed to have the tremmors something awful.

yeah the deal with posey: he had parkinson's (i think) and could do speedvision while they were in new england near fis home. but when they moved and became speed he couldn't physically go with them. he wasn't the best of commentators in the end but i admired him for what he was doing. i would really like to find the steve matchett fan club that david is always talking about, he's great. i remember him from his column(ette) in OnTrack, he was excellent there too.

Steve used to do a column on speedvison.com, too, but when they became SPEEDtv.com a lot of their good editorial stuff stopped. Now all we're left with is Brock "The Nut" Yates.

DTM is going to be on along with a the BTCC and the ETCC... here's the SPEED thing from Speedtv.com

Highlighted by a one-hour special on the inaugural 24 Hours of Bathurst, SPEED Channel begins its Touring Car programming schedule this weekend with coverage of the British and German Touring Car series, the Australian V8 Supercars and the network premiere of European Touring Cars.

The 24 Hours of Bathurst, Australia’s first international 24-hour race, will feature 52 cars racing over the 3.861-mile closed public road course—Bathurst’s Mount Panorama circuit—on Nov. 16. SPEED Channel’s one-hour highlight special on the event will debut on Dec. 16 at 9:30 p.m. ET.

The British Touring Car series begins on SPEED with a two-hour premiere on Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. ET, and after a week off settles into its regular Saturday at 9 p.m. time slot on Nov. 16. The German Series opens this Saturday, Oct. 26 and continues on Saturdays at 10 p.m. The Aussie V8s begin a run of Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Nov. 14.

European Touring Cars can be seen Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET beginning Nov. 3.

Plenty of the touring cars on speed again this year!

Happy day-
good to see that Speechannel has not entirely sold it sole to NASCAR. I love the fatc that these less well-known series-in the states that is-get some tv coverage! I love the DTM cars and hope to see Jean Alesi in action again. Don't know much about F3000 but am eager to learn.
Bart, do you really think that F1 will stay on speed? i thought B.E. was looking to get more races on the major networks. Ihope I am wrong.

Steve Matchet is da bomb!

could be Martin Haven who does the commentaries, Haven is the Brit who does some pitwork on the ALMS races

This is great..... Should provide something to rattle against CART. Just to see level of comp./perf. Can't argue with the venues..........

& guess what?! Doug from pub asked if I knew anyone looking for telly. Well, real decent 27" sitting behind me. Old 19" a mere 27 yrs. old & survivor of about 25 moves.

F3000 -- anxious to watch.....

Dishly................. PL:burnout:

Cool. The only other times I've ever seen F3000 is on motorsport mundial. Looks like the off season will have plenty of racing to keep me from goin' comlpetely nuts.

Varsha and Hobbs doing the F3000 races for this year. So far some pretty good action from Brazil. Won't spoil it. Good stuff so far.

I caught last night's broadcast. Varsha and Hobbs

I've been a fan of this series since 99 when I saw my first F3000 race at Spa. I've got some great shots of Bruno when he was driving for the Petrobras Jr. team. I'll have to dig those up.

I'll be in front of my TV next Sunday for sure. :D

Speed has confirmed to us that they aren't just going to be NASCAR-TV. Applause from dpd.

And lots better than Toyota Atlantic. Speed should have been doing this at least for this season if not for previous seasons.

I don't know how many of you Crapwagoneers are watching the CARTathon today, but it is nice to see the F3000 comercials in heavy rotation!
